he Castle of Montepò, in the countryside of Scansano, is an authentic and noble Tuscany, where the lands become vineyards of legend. Surrounded by woods, olive trees and the small hills of the Maremma, the ancient manor, since the Middle Ages, has been the impregnable bulwark to defend the borders of the fiefdom, a mission that still pursues today protecting the 600 hectares of the estate, of which 55 vineyards, where Jacopo Biondi Santi found the ideal conditions for the grape-terroir interaction to crown his ambitious wine enhancement project.

In Maremma, an area historically suited to the production of grapes, it is no coincidence that the roots of an ancient tradition that reaches the Etruscans, to whom we owe the first studies and experiments on the cultivation of vines, on grafts, the creation of hybrids and the arrangement of the facilities.
